Castle Views At Thornsett Apartments

Western Mail, Homes Wales, 7th July 2007

Thornsett Group has opened its first show apartment at its development in North Quay in Pembroke. Located on the banks of the River Pembroke opposite the medieval Pembroke Castle, the development is a showcase of Thornsett’s high specification and quality of finish.

Interest in North Quay has already been high, thanks to Thornsett’s established reputation in the country and because of the development’s unique position, with many apartments having direct views to the castle.

The ground floor, two bedroom show apartment has been interior styled in cream and grey, maximising the development’s contemporary assets of light and space and emphasising the open plan reception room which features an Oriel window overlooking the Pembroke Castle.

With completion due at the end of July, prospective purchasers will get a sense of the layout of the courtyard development, and each property’s specific attributes and orientation.

All the properties offer contemporary finishes with wood effect floors and 100% wool fitted carpets in the bedrooms. Kitchens are modern with integrated appliances including fridge-freezers, dishwashers and washer dryer as well as stainless steel electric oven, microwave, hob and hood. The apartments are designed to retain heat and reduce external noise with practical high performance double glazed powder coated aluminium or wooden windows.

Architecturally, they have been designed to blend effortlessly with the historic surroundings, constructed using Welsh stone and Welsh slate tiles. Each apartment has private parking and direct access to a variety of communal terraces and private balconies.

North Quay will also include a commercial element designated as two craft units to complement the existing Corn Store, currently a high-end interiors retail outlet and cafe. The units will be donated by Thornsett Group to Pembrokeshire County Council to lease to local artists or craftspeople.

Properties at North Quay start from £175,000.
