Overall this new development consists of fifty new flats, together with the provision of two retail units. Occupying the site of an old school, the development retains the original schoolhouse which was refurbished to provide 6 one bedroom flats, and the two retail units. The layout of the remaining 44 two and three bedroom flats partially follows the street line, but also takes the form of a crescent that accommodates off-street parking and creates a more private environment for the development.
The two small houses at the entrance to the crescent were built in just five days, as part of a charity challenge that raised thousands of pounds and attracted national media coverage.
